I don't use DX7 manager, if you mean this one here:

http://www.fm-alive.com/pages/DXM.aspx

It's written there it has support for DX7 Mk II and Performances, so
it should work.

I just wonder - if I understand well your message - why you want to
transmit only performance data without voice patches belonging to
them. Performance doesn't contain voice patch data, only links to
them, plus some other parameters. If you want to hear performances as
they should sound, it's necessary to have in the memory also voice
data from which those performances were done.

Ok so a guy on YouTube made some voice patches 64 voices also made 64 for
cartridges . He also made some performance patches . They sound great. So
these 32 performance patches I don't know how to send to performance bank.

Yes it is the same dx manager fm live that I have using

Hi Brent,

This should be pretty clear in the instructions. Have MIDI all connected.
Go to Midi, then devices on bottom and select your Midi in and Midi out
channels. If you have the bank open, click on any patch, go to Midi and
click Send Bank to 1-32 and it will send top 32 patches to bank 1 of DX7.

If you have more than 32 in the file that is open , you'll have to create a
new file, drag and drop the other 32 or so patches into it and then send
again. Basically, it only sends the top 32 patches from any particular
file.

Program owner very helpful but I think is on the road this week. Should be
back this coming week.

Great program and still working out any bugs on various systems. I've used
it for years otherwise.

OP is asking about Performance banks on DX7II. But that should be pretty
much the same story I guess. I have to check DXM when I'm on my Windows
machine for that.

If you mean this video:

That certain Lukas Lundt prepared all data very well - there are all
64 voices for internal and 64 voices for cartridge (as all data, or
divided to banks with 32 voices - for 01-32 and 33-64), and also 32
performances.

All in standard SYX (voice bank has 4104 bytes and all proper headers
and endings, designated as it is for DEXED) and in some other strange
format with SYX extension (bank has 4960 bytes, I'm sure Martin T.
knows what it is).

Performance bank has 1650 bytes in SYX format. There's also the same
file with DXP extension (to be recognized by DX Manager as indicated
in ReadMe text file). Any of them should work.

For sending SYX files you can use any Sysex utility. You can also
convert them in DX convert or some utility to MID files and send them
from any sequencer. I don't see any reason why such perfectly prepared
files shouldn't work.

Right, sorry about that. As was stated, you have to send the actual patch
banks with it and there is another command under midi. On the road in
England so don't have it front of me. Will try in a couple of weeks

Hi, if you have the DX7II factory ROM, select cartridge bank 1,
send 'Lukas Performance Bank' and 'Lukas Voice Bank All'.
Only one cartridge voice 'Warm Stg A' has been used.
