At 7:40, Tony demonstrates the sound used in Domino Part II. It's also used in "Anything She Does" and "Land of Confusion." In "Land of Confusion," it's not the DX bass that mimics the kick drum, but the other DX sound that mimes the guitar part in the beginning, and is played throughout the song, if you listen carefully.
On the 2007 tour, Tony was using a TX7 to reproduce the sound. If you watch live videos of Domino and Land of Confusion from 2007, you can easily hear the patch.
Does anyone know the name of that patch, or where to find it? From what I've read, Tony didn't program his own DX7 patches. He only used Factory and 3rd party soundbanks.
The Bobby Blues site says that sound designer Scott Verret (Synthware) worked with Genesis at some point. It's possible that he created this patch, but unfortunately, the 4 Synthware soundbanks are no longer available, so I can't see for myself.
Any ideas?
