Oh, I am not expecting to be able to do much editing of any patches or program this keyboard. But I don't want to be limited to its internal sounds or the ones on the cartridges I got with it. Also, some of the patches are missing from the on-board bank, and some have been erased from the cartridges...

I wouldn't even have this DX if someone hadn't passed it on to me when they no longer wanted it. These have some pretty cool sounds, and from what I've read there are more I can download if I can learn how to send them to the board and where to get them. It makes me feel all 80's. :-)

That might be the Jellinghaus. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong. Pretty sure they are rare and expensive. HOWEVER, there is a new one coming out maybe. The DTronics DT7.

I think on facebook I saw that he was finally doing it. Anyway, an FM synth has got to be one of the hardest places to start for programming, but if you just want to play cool sounds then it would be fine.
